The role in one line
As an Enterprise AE at incident, you sell to the engineering leaders who cannot afford to get incidents wrong, and every deal you close is one more company that handles its worst day better.
What that looks like day to day
As an Enterprise AE at incident, you're selling into the biggest and most complex accounts we go after, the ones where an incident going badly becomes a board-level problem. Intercom, Etsy, Miro, HashiCorp and StubHub are already customers, so you're not cold-starting a story nobody believes. The product has real market fit and it is nowhere near fully capitalised. That gap is the whole opportunity.
The team you're joining are seasoned sellers who are as much strategic partners and product evangelists as they are closers. Enterprise cycles here mean six or seven decision-makers, technical buyers who will test you properly, and C-level conversations where you need to be credible immediately. You'll run demos alongside SE's, and the feedback you bring back goes to a product team that ships in hours and days, not quarters.
Sales isn't a function bolted onto the side of this business, it's central to how we win. You'll work with leadership on building sales process rather than inheriting a finished one, and challenging how we do things is the job itself, not something you get credit for on top.
We're AI-forward, founded by engineers, and everyone here has unlimited Claude access. We expect you to use it properly: researching accounts, prepping deals, and moving faster than the rep across the table at a legacy vendor.
Who you are
You've closed $100k+ new business at the top end of enterprise, and you can talk me through how you actually did it, not just what the number was.
You're comfortable in a room full of engineers and CTOs. Technical buyers don't faze you, and you know the difference between selling to them and selling at them.
You're a proper hunter. You've got more than one way into an account, and a run of rejection doesn't take the wind out of you.
You build the case with evidence. Data, the right customer story, real product knowledge, whatever it takes to move that particular stakeholder.
Multi-threading is instinct, not technique. You assume there are six people on the other side of the deal and you'd rather know all of them.
You've got opinions about the product and you share them. The best reps here are the ones product actually listens to.
Startup ambiguity suits you. The playbook is half-written, nobody is going to hand you a process, and you'd rather help build one.
You're good to work with. You'll be close to leadership, SEs and CSMs, and you care about being someone people want in the room.
