- Collaborate on the migration strategy of Java applications from IBM WebSphere to Liferay.
- Analyze legacy applications, refactor and rebuild them using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.
- Integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle for enhanced productivity and smarter refactoring.
- Ensure high standards in code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Partner with DevOps to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to the AWS environment.
- Support the definition of system architecture and lead its evolution throughout the project.
- Strong experience developing enterprise-level applications in Java (17/21).
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Gradle, and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), and Git.
- Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, multithreading, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis is a bonus.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or CLine - these should be your go-to for integrating AI into your work efficiently.
- Comfort working in AI-augmented development environments and adapting to their evolving capabilities.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services is a big plus.
- Exposure to Liferay and IBM WebSphere Portal (reading or porting from old modules).
- Understanding of AI-driven code migration strategies or prompt engineering for development assistance.
