Software Engineer (Java/Spring) | Referential Data Platform

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a strategic project focused on enhancing and evolving a referential data platform dedicated to managing financial statements and related datasets.

The platform integrates with multiple external data providers, including public and market data sources, while also supporting the ingestion and processing of unstructured documents. Its purpose is to ensure high-quality, consistent, and reliable data across various sources, reducing reporting discrepancies and enabling faster, more accurate business insights.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a data-driven environment, contributing to modern architecture, API development, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, secure, and scale backend architectures and services.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java 21 and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Implement and enhance data exposure solutions through APIs and microservices.
• Contribute to solution industrialization by applying CI/CD best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to understand requirements and validate solutions.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Backend Developer, or Data-focused Developer.
• Strong interest in working in hybrid technical and functional roles, interacting with both business and technology stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data governance, data management, or third-party data environments is considered a plus.

Mandatory

• Strong proficiency in Java 21.
• Solid experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, etc.).
• Advanced SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices:
  • CI/CD
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Unit Testing
  • Version Control (Git)
  • Code Quality Standards
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, IBM Cloud, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with referential data management or financial data environments.
• Knowledge of data ingestion and processing workflows.
• Exposure to API management solutions.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.

Methodologies & Tools

• Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Jira, Confluence, ALM, or related collaboration tools.
• CI/CD platforms and DevOps practices.

Language Requirements

• English: Professional/Fluent (mandatory).
• French: Basic knowledge is a plus.
