AI and semiconductor design - In this internship, you will help build the chip verification methodology and infrastructure that powers the next generation of AI-enabled chip development. You will work alongside experienced verification engineers on real, production-relevant challenges.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Verification Methodology: Develop and improve verification methodologies, flows, and automation for modern chip designs.
- Infrastructure & Tooling: Build scalable infrastructure and tooling to support AI-enabled project development.
- AI/ML for Verification: Explore how AI and machine learning can speed up verification, for example through smarter test generation, coverage closure, and debug.
- Solution Delivery: Contribute to solutions that will be used by project teams
Internship Learning Outcomes:
- Industry-Standard Practices: Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard verification practices and tools.
- Team Collaboration & Problem Solving: Interact with team members and learn how problems are solved on real chip development issues.
- AI Integration: Gain insight into productive AI integration across chip design and verification. This suits a Master's student who is curious about these areas.
- Engineering Efficiency: Obtain hands-on experience applying engineering knowledge to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through AI automation.
Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Education: On track to attain a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic, Material Science, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, with a research-oriented mindset.
- Scripting & Programming: Strong skills and interest in scripting and programming.
- Technical Background (Plus): Prior exposure to digital design, SystemVerilog/UVM, Python, or ML is a plus.
- Motivation: Enthusiasm and a drive to learn.
- Availability: Available from Mar-Aug 2027.
