The student, as part of the Field Application Engineer (FAE) team and under the guidance of an assigned buddy, will work on the Flyback converter demo board project with Infineon controller and MOSFET.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- System Fundamentals: Understand the operating principles of a flyback converter.
- Design Evaluation: Evaluate and analyze existing reference designs.
- System Redesign: Redesign the existing system to meet different design specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize the system to satisfy new performance and application requirements.
- Testing & Documentation: Generate and document comprehensive test reports.
Internship Learning Outcomes:
- Role Understanding: Understand the role and responsibilities of a Field Application Engineer (FAE).
- System Requirements: Understand flyback system requirements and application constraints.
- Hardware Design: Understand flyback converter system design and topology.
- Analytical Skills: Develop system analysis and problem-solving skills specific to flyback converters.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of semiconductor components, i.e., MOSFET.
- Passion for Tech: Passion for engineering and technology.
- Work Ethic: Proactive and self-motivated.
