Infopro Digital Services Limited is seeking a General Manager to lead the UK business of its Automotive division. This position is critical to driving sustainable growth, commercial performance, operational excellence and strategic leadership across a portfolio of automotive data, software and digital solutions.

Infopro Digital Automotive is a leading global provider of data and software solutions for the automotive aftermarket, supporting workshops, distributors, manufacturers, fleets, retailers and other industry professionals. Its portfolio brings together established specialist brands and businesses, including Haynes, HaynesPro, DriveRightData, OATS, ETAI and Eucon. As part of Infopro Digital, a global information and technology group with over 4,000 employees across 26 countries, the division helps customers improve performance through innovative data, software and digital solutions.

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the UK business through its next phase of sustainable growth. This is a broad, highly visible leadership role with accountability for UK P&L performance, commercial growth, operational effectiveness, people leadership and market development. The successful candidate will combine strategic direction with disciplined execution, remaining close to customers, teams and the critical decisions that drive performance.

THE ROLE

Reporting into senior leadership within Infopro Digital Automotive, you will hold overall responsibility for the performance, growth and leadership of the UK business. You will set the UK strategy, translate it into clear priorities and ensure strong execution across commercial, customer-facing and operational activities.

You will lead the senior UK team, create alignment across functions and build an operating model that supports scalable recurring revenue, strong customer outcomes and consistent financial performance. As the senior representative of Infopro Digital Automotive in the UK, you will strengthen market presence, develop strategic relationships and ensure that the portfolio's brands, products and capabilities are connected through a coordinated go-to-market strategy aligned with the wider international growth agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the UK Business and P&L

  • Hold full accountability for UK revenue, profit, cash discipline and overall business performance.
  • Develop and execute the UK business plan, converting strategic ambition into focused priorities, investment choices and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and planning cycle, with clear assumptions, risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
  • Establish a rigorous business operating cadence covering financial performance, commercial execution, customer health, delivery priorities and people metrics.

Lead Sustainable Growth and Market Development

  • Drive growth across existing and new customers, balancing new-logo acquisition with retention, renewal, cross-sell and upsell.
  • Ensure the UK go-to-market strategy reflects priority segments, customer needs, routes to market and the full Infopro Digital Automotive portfolio.
  • Build market share by sharpening positioning, strengthening partnerships and identifying new commercial opportunities.
  • Champion scalable SaaS, subscription and data revenues rather than bespoke, one-off project work.
  • Act as executive sponsor for strategic accounts and personally lead or support the most significant customer opportunities, partnerships and negotiations.
  • Represent Infopro Digital Automotive at senior industry level, strengthening market visibility and credibility while positioning the relevant portfolio brands and solutions clearly for customers.

Build a High-Performing Leadership Team and Culture

  • Lead, coach and develop the UK senior leadership team, creating clarity of accountability across commercial, operational and enabling functions.
  • Set a high-performance culture grounded in customer value, ownership, collaboration, pace and disciplined follow-through.
  • Assess organisational capability, shape the organisation for future growth and ensure the right leadership, talent and succession plans are in place.
  • Create an environment in which people are engaged, supported and constructively challenged to perform at their best.
  • Lead change and transformation with clear communication, visible sponsorship and sustained attention to implementation.

Drive Operational and Financial Performance

  • Ensure the UK business operates efficiently, with clear priorities, effective governance and strong cross-functional coordination.
  • Use financial and operational data to identify performance gaps, allocate resources and improve productivity, margin and execution quality.
  • Balance short-term delivery with longer-term capability building, ensuring decisions support sustainable customer and enterprise value.
  • Oversee major business risks, commercial escalations and operational issues with sound judgement, pace and appropriate governance.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies, delegated authorities and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Connect the UK Business to the International Organisation

  • Work closely with product, technology, marketing, finance, HR and operational leaders across Infopro Digital Automotive.
  • Align UK priorities with the wider portfolio strategy while advocating clearly for local market and customer needs.
  • Accelerate portfolio cross-selling and coordinate multi-country opportunities, strategic accounts and shared commercial initiatives.
  • Share market intelligence, customer insight and operating best practice across countries and business units.
  • Support product launches, proposition development and investment decisions with evidence from the UK market.

Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Proven success in a General Manager, Managing Director, Business Unit Director or comparable senior leadership role with full P&L accountability.
  • A strong track record of delivering profitable revenue growth in B2B software, SaaS, data, information services, automotive or a closely related sector.
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams and senior leaders, with evidence of building accountability, capability and engagement.
  • Demonstrable commercial leadership, including coordinated go-to-market strategy, recurring-revenue growth, strategic account development and complex negotiations.
  • Strong financial and business-management capability, with confidence across budgeting, forecasting, investment choices, margin and performance improvement.
  • Experience leading business change, transformation or scaling while maintaining delivery and customer confidence.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining visible, hands-on and close to customers, people and critical execution priorities.
  • Executive-level communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills within a matrix or international organisation.

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket, workshop technology, technical data, parts, diagnostics, fleets, dealer systems or related digital solutions.
  • Experience leading a subscription, software or data business with a mix of enterprise, network and independent customers.
  • Exposure to product-led growth, portfolio integration, cross-border account development or multi-brand go-to-market models.
  • Experience strengthening operating discipline and culture in a business with significant growth ambitions.

HOW YOU OPERATE

Enterprise Leader

You take an end-to-end view of the business, integrate competing priorities and make decisions in the best long-term interests of customers, people and performance.

Commercially Ambitious

You create growth, build market momentum and translate opportunity into clear choices, investment and disciplined execution.

Financially Rigorous

You understand the economic drivers of the business, challenge assumptions and use data to improve revenue quality, margin and returns.

Customer-Centric

You stay close to strategic customers and ensure their needs shape priorities, propositions and service improvement.

Talent Builder

You set clear expectations, coach senior leaders and build an organisation capable of sustained performance beyond individual dependency.

Change Leader

You create clarity during change, engage people in the direction and maintain momentum through implementation.

Collaborative Operator

You work effectively across functions, countries and reporting lines, combining local ownership with wider group alignment.

Accountable and Decisive

You make timely, evidence-based decisions, communicate them clearly and follow through on outcomes.

  • A capable, aligned and accountable leadership team with high engagement and visible succession strength.
  • Improved operating discipline, cross-functional collaboration and timely delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Reliable financial and commercial forecasting supported by high-quality data and clear evidence.
