Go Software Engineer

Job Overview
As a Go Software Engineer working as part of our Shield team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems and addressing customer issues in a time sensitive manner. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the customer needs and deliver robust solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for development and an awareness of both back end and front end elements. Experience in back end development, Golang, Kubernetes, Microservices etc. essential. Experience or exposure to the SRE role would be highly valuable.
Requirements
- System Design and Architecture: Collaborate with your team to understand requirements and help define technical solutions that meet business objectives.
- Development: Develop clean, efficient and maintainable code in Go, with Python and/or Java knowledge a bonus. Implement services, APIs and data processing pipelines following best practices and design patterns.
- Integration and Interoperability: Integrate backend systems with third-party services and external APIs to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability. Ensure compatibility and consistency across different system components.
- Quality Assurance: Implement automated testing and practices to ensure the quality and reliability of backend systems. Collaborate with QA engineers to execute tests and resolve defects in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Technical Support: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for backend systems. Provide technical support and assistance to other team members and stakeholders as needed.

- Understand and comply with InfoSum’s security and privacy policies, and be attentive to information security at all times in the performance of duties for InfoSum.
Must-haves
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with proficiency in JavaScript and ideally Go.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL) and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture and Kubernetes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Python and/or Java
- Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
- Familiarity with Postgres.
- Interest in data-privacy, AdTech/MarTech or large-scale data processing.
- Familiarity with Kafka, gRPC or Apache Spark.
