InfoSum is a London data collaboration company founded in 2015 that lets organisations combine datasets without sharing the underlying records. Its decentralised clean room compares data statistically so partners learn about audience overlap while raw customer data stays in place. The company works with broadcasters, retailers and advertisers on privacy-safe measurement.

InfoSum is WPP’s privacy-first data collaboration technology, trusted by global businesses to unlock the full potential of their first-party data without risk. Its patented, cross-cloud, decentralized collaboration technology leverages advanced Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to radically transform how companies generate audience intelligence and drive better customer experiences. As the foundational infrastructure underpinning WPP Open, InfoSum powers trusted data collaboration across every cloud, client, and capability.

Why we're hiring:

The Solutions Engineer will be a core member of InfoSum's North American Client Services team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Solutions Engineering. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role responsible for owning the full lifecycle of client implementations-from pre-sale scoping through post-sale execution and ongoing technical support.

InfoSum is WPP's newly acquired data collaboration platform (acquired April 2025 for ~$150M) and serves as the foundational data layer for WPP Open Intelligence. This role will work with some of the world's most recognizable brands, publishers, and data partners-including Disney, NBCU, Netflix, Roku, Walmart, and major WPP client brands.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own an assigned portfolio of WPP clients and partners, serving as their primary technical contact and implementation lead
  • Scope, design, and execute data collaboration solutions from initial discovery through go-live and ongoing optimization
  • Act as a "customer-facing DevOps resource" during the post-sale cycle-troubleshooting, building, and maintaining client implementations across multiple cloud environments
  • Write SQL queries, Python scripts, and build data workflows to deliver insights and activate campaigns for clients
  • Support pre-sale technical conversations, solution design, and proof-of-concept work alongside the sales team
  • Build and maintain technical documentation, implementation playbooks, and process standards as the team scales
  • Implement InfoSum's native app technology across all five major cloud environments (GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks) over the next 6-12 months
  • Support growing WPP-internal initiatives including Data Meter (usage tracking), Data Catalog (asset discovery), and Dataset Audit (data validation)

What you'll need:

Technical Fluency:

  • SQL proficiency (ESSENTIAL): InfoSum's platform is built on a SQL-like query language. You must be comfortable writing, debugging, and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Python for data operations: Hands-on experience using Python to format data, create deliverables, and automate workflows. Must have actually coded in Python-not just AI-assisted familiarity.
  • Cloud environment experience: Experience working in at least one of: GCP, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks. Comfortable navigating cloud storage, understanding data pipelines, and troubleshooting technical issues in cloud environments.
  • API integration experience: Has worked with or supported API-based integrations between platforms.

Client-Facing & Problem-Solving:

  • Service mentality: Approaches technical work with a customer-first mindset. Treats clients as partners, not just recipients of your technical expertise.
  • Excellent communicator: Can translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Thrives in fast-moving, evolving environments where processes are still being built and problems don't always have a playbook.

Industry & Domain Knowledge:

  • AdTech/MarTech experience (ESSENTIAL): Must understand the paid media ecosystem-how advertisers, agencies, DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and data platforms work together.
  • Data collaboration or clean room familiarity: Familiarity with privacy-safe data collaboration concepts is a strong plus (hands-on clean room experience NOT required).

Mindset & Attitude:

  • Hungry to learn and grow: This role will expose you to five different cloud environments, cutting-edge privacy technology, and some of the most sophisticated data teams in media. You need to be excited by that, not overwhelmed.
  • Process-oriented: Naturally thinks about documentation, standardization, and replication-not just solving one-off problems.
  • Proactive and ownership-driven: Doesn't wait to be told what to do. Sees problems, raises them, and proposes solutions.

Who you are:

You're open: We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views. We are open-minded: to new ideas, new partnerships, new ways of working.

You're optimistic: We believein the power of creativity, technology and talent to create brighter futures or our people, our clients and our communities. We approach all that we do with conviction: to try the new and to seek the unexpected.

You're extraordinary: We are stronger together: through collaboration we achieve the amazing. We are creative leaders and pioneers of our industry; we provide extraordinary every day.
