We are seeking an experienced Informatica Administrator with 5-9 years of experience in administering, configuring, monitoring, and supporting Informatica PowerCenter environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and production support of Informatica platforms.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and administer Informatica PowerCenter components including Repository, Integration Services, and Informatica Client tools.
Manage Informatica environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
Perform Informatica version upgrades, migrations, patches, and hotfix installations.
Monitor ETL workflows, sessions, and batch jobs to ensure successful execution.
Troubleshoot performance issues, workflow failures, repository issues, and connectivity problems.
Configure and maintain security, user roles, groups, privileges, and access controls.
Manage repository backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery activities.
Work closely with ETL developers, database administrators, and infrastructure teams.
Support Informatica deployment activities and release management processes.
Perform performance tuning of Informatica services and ETL workloads.
Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and environment architecture documents.
Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in on-call rotations.
Technical requirements
5-9 years of experience in Informatica Administration.
Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter Administration.
Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
Good understanding of Informatica Repository and Integration Services.
Experience working on Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or other relational databases.
Hands-on experience in workflow monitoring and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of ETL architecture and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with shell scripting and automation.
Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Cron.
