The Head of Global Insights & Intelligence leads Ingredion's global Insights Center of Excellence, transforming customer, consumer, market, competitive, and business intelligence into actionable growth opportunities. The role is responsible for identifying emerging trends, unmet needs, sources of competitive advantage, and new opportunities for growth, translating insights into strategic recommendations that shape business strategy, innovation priorities, portfolio decisions, commercial opportunities, and go-to-market execution. Working closely with the wider Global and Regional Marketing teams, Segment and Product teams, R&D, Commercial Excellence, and business leadership, this leader ensures innovation pipelines are grounded in validated customer and consumer needs, supports critical commercialization decisions throughout the stage-gate process, and leverages AI-enabled insights capabilities to deliver differentiated intelligence at scale. The role champions a culture of evidence-based decision making, builds world-class insights capabilities, and ensures insights translate into measurable business impact, profitable growth, and competitive advantage.
Core Responsibilities. What you will do:
- Lead global market intelligence and trend forecasting capabilities.
- Shape enterprise strategy and growth priorities through customer, consumer, market, competitive, and business insights.
- Synthesize multiple sources of intelligence (market, customer, consumer, competitive, regulatory, technology and business) into actionable insights and persuasive, audience-specific stories that inform executive decision making, shape growth strategy, guide innovation investment, enable go-to-market execution, and strengthen customer engagement
- Partner with Global Category Marketing to quantify market opportunities and commercialization potential for innovation and growth initiatives.
- Identify and prioritize near-term growth opportunities that unlock profitable growth, partnering with Regional Marketing to drive go-to-market activation and commercial execution.
- Anticipate future market shifts to uncover whitespace opportunities, develop strategic growth hypotheses, and guide investment, innovation, and commercialization decisions.
- Guide strategic planning, portfolio decisions, and investment priorities using data-driven intelligence.
- Ensure innovation pipelines are grounded in validated customer and consumer needs and supported through the stage-gate process.
- Works with the Brand and Marcoms COE to translate insights into thought leadership and with Regional Marketing to shape customer engagement strategies and go-to-market execution.
- Build and scale AI-enabled insights capabilities that accelerate decision making and competitive advantage.
- Define and lead a world-class Global Insights Center of Excellence, including talent, methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Champion a culture of insight-led decision making and demonstrate measurable business impact.
What you will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), Data Analytics, Economics, Market Research, or a related commercial discipline preferred.
- 12-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Insights, Strategic Marketing, Market Intelligence, Commercial Excellence, Business Strategy, or related functions within global B2B ingredient, food, beverage, specialty chemical, life sciences, or sophisticated CPG organizations.
- Demonstrated track record of translating insights into business outcomes, including shaping growth strategies, influencing investment decisions, supporting innovation commercialization, and driving profitable revenue growth.
- Deep expertise in customer, consumer, market, competitive, and business intelligence, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations for executive and commercial audiences.
- Experience leading global teams and influencing across complex, matrixed organizations, with a strong understanding of regional market dynamics across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.
- Strong understanding of AI-enabled insights capabilities, advanced analytics, data platforms, automation, and emerging technologies, with experience embedding digital and AI solutions into business decision-making processes.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, storytelling, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders through compelling, evidence-based narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Strong people leadership capabilities with experience building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Highly collaborative and influential leader with the ability to build trusted partnerships across Marketing, R&D, Commercial, Strategy, Digital, and regional organizations.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.

$181,400.00-$241,866.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
