Motion Designer

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a versatile, conceptually strong Motion Designer to bring Insider One’s products, stories, and brand to life through motion. Working within our in-house video function, you will create high-impact work across product launches, event films, social media, paid campaigns, web, customer stories, and executive communications. You will take projects from script and storyboard through animation, edit, sound, finishing, and final delivery.

This is not a role for someone who only animates finished design files. You will contribute ideas, develop style frames and storyboards, animate product interfaces and complex concepts, edit live-action footage, and help shape how Insider One moves. You will work closely with the Head of Video and internal stakeholders, while maintaining excellent file discipline and consistently high craft at speed.

What You Will Do

• Create polished motion and video content for product launches, events, brand campaigns, social, paid media, customer stories, web, and executive communications.

• Translate briefs, scripts, and rough ideas into strong visual concepts, storyboards, style frames, animatics, and final motion-led narratives.

• Animate product UI, data, diagrams, typography, logos, illustrations, and transitions to make complex technology clear and compelling.

• Edit live-action footage and combine it with motion graphics, compositing, captions, music, sound design, color correction, and final finishing.

• Contribute actively during concept development, improving visual approaches, pacing, clarity, emotional impact, and platform relevance.

• Maintain and evolve Insider One’s video design system through reusable templates, motion components, project files, and clear documentation.

• Adapt creative for different channels, audiences, markets, languages, aspect ratios, resolutions, durations, and accessibility requirements.

• Maintain impeccable file hygiene across naming, folder structures, linked assets, version control, handovers, archiving, and exports.

• Collaborate with the Head of Video, marketers, event teams, and specialists to protect creative intent.
• Use AI-assisted and emerging creative tools to accelerate ideation, asset creation, animation, editing, and localization while maintaining premium craft.

What You Will Need

• 4+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or video production within a B2B technology company, studio, agency, or in-house team.

• A standout portfolio or reel demonstrating exceptional motion craft, visual storytelling, editing, product UI animation, typography, and digital range.

• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and strong professional proficiency in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.

• A deep understanding of animation principles, composition, typography, timing, pacing, visual hierarchy, transitions, and the role of sound.

• Proven ability to own work from concept through storyboards, style frames, animation, editing, feedback rounds, finishing, and final delivery.

• Strong editing and post-production skills across interviews, narratives, social cuts, launch films, and event content.

• Experience animating software interfaces and translating complex product capabilities, workflows, data, or technical ideas into simple visual stories.

• Working knowledge of audio editing, sound design, color correction, compositing, codecs, frame rates, export settings, and delivery specifications.

• Experience building and working from reusable templates, motion guidelines, component libraries, and scalable production systems.

• Excellent attention to detail and file discipline, producing organized, editable project files that others can use confidently.

• Comfort managing several projects and feedback cycles, prioritizing effectively, flagging risks early, and meeting demanding deadlines.

• Strong communication skills, with confidence explaining creative choices, receiving candid feedback, and working directly with non-creative stakeholders.

• Proven application of AI in video production, including automation and managing emerging motion tools, with examples of using them thoughtfully in professional workflows.

• Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, Rive, Cavalry, or another 3D or real-time animation tool is a strong advantage.
