Instrumental builds camera stations and software that detect defects on electronics assembly lines. Its machine learning models spot anomalies engineers did not anticipate. The company works with consumer electronics manufacturers in Asia.

Instrumental builds the manufacturing acceleration platform behind the world’s most complex electronics. We capture digital exhaust and engineering context from assembly lines-images, test logs, BOM data, performance, repair cycles-and our AI engines identify insights that are difficult or impossible for human engineers to find. We accelerate the companies building the AI era by improving manufacturing yield, throughput, and ramp. NVIDIA, Meta, L3Harris, and their manufacturing partners rely on Instrumental to accelerate new product introduction and production.Instrumental has become mission-critical for manufacturers building and scaling the next generation of AI infrastructure hardware.

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager / Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Taiwan team and help drive deployment of Instrumental’s AI-powered manufacturing platform across Asia. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of manufacturing operations, hardware deployment, and software integration. You will work closely with global electronics brands and their contract manufacturers to deploy Instrumental systems, integrate factory data pipelines, and ensure production data flows reliably into our platform.

Successful candidates are strong executors who thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving operational problems, and take pride in turning complex factory deployments into reliable systems. Ideal candidates enjoy working directly with factory teams and solving real manufacturing deployment challenges.

Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of experience managing programs or technical projects within electronics manufacturing environments.
  • Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers or factory engineering teams in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with product build phases such as EVT, DVT, PVT, and production ramp, and how these phases impact factory operations.
  • Experience coordinating deployment or integration of manufacturing systems, inspection equipment, testers, or factory automation systems.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional execution across engineering teams, factory operations, and customer stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with large contract manufacturers (Foxconn, Flex, Pegatron, Wistron, etc.)
  • Experience supporting MES / SFC integrations or manufacturing data systems
  • Experience working with system integrators or deploying factory equipment
  • Experience supporting NPI programs or factory ramp activities
  • Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds such as manufacturing program management, NPI engineering, system integration project management, factory automation engineering, or manufacturing systems integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Customer Deployments: Lead the execution of Instrumental deployments at customer factories and contract manufacturers. Manage deployment timelines from kickoff through system activation and ensure systems reach stable first data. Coordinate hardware installation, system configuration, and operational readiness with factory teams. Success is measured by reliable production data flowing from the factory environment into the Instrumental platform.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Deployment Execution: Serve as the operational hub connecting customers, manufacturing partners, and Instrumental internal teams. Maintain deployment plans, track execution progress, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned on scope, timeline, and risks. Identify blockers early and drive resolution across engineering, operations, and customer teams. Maintain clear communication across organizations and time zones to sustain program momentum.
  • Manage Factory Integration & Operational Readiness: Ensure factories and contract manufacturers are prepared for successful system deployment and integration. Coordinate infrastructure readiness including space, power, networking, and production line availability. Support integration with factory systems such as MES/SFC and manufacturing data pipelines in collaboration with factory IT and system integrators. Validate that production data flows correctly into the Instrumental platform and troubleshoot issues when needed.
  • Support Customer Platform Adoption & Operational Success: Help customers successfully operationalize Instrumental systems once deployed. Provide platform training and operational guidance to factory teams and assist with troubleshooting when issues arise. Work with customer stakeholders to ensure the platform is integrated into manufacturing workflows and delivering actionable insights. Act as a trusted operational partner to customer teams during ramp and early adoption phases.
  • Travel to Support Deployments & Improve TPM Operations: Travel to customer and contract manufacturer sites across Taiwan and the broader APAC region to support deployments, factory coordination, and troubleshooting during critical build phases. Capture operational insights from deployments and contribute improvements to TPM processes, documentation, and deployment frameworks. Share lessons learned with the global TPM team to improve scalability and consistency of deployments. Strong TPMs convert repeated operational friction into repeatable systems that improve execution quality.

You’re encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn’t precisely match the job description.
