Job Summary
Network Engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise and manufacturing network infrastructure at the Costa Rica facility.Provides hands-on support for switches, routers, wireless networks, firewalls, and network security initiatives.
Monitors network performance, troubleshoots connectivity issues, maintains documentation, and ensures reliable operation of critical production systems.
Collaborates with senior engineers on network upgrades, expansion projects, and OT/manufacturing networking activities.
Requires strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, WLAN), troubleshooting skills, onsite availability, and industry certifications such as CCNA or Network+.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support the maintenance and growth of our network infrastructure within our Costa Rica facility. This role is primarily in-office with hybrid flexibility for special events. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience supporting network reliability across production systems, office environments, and enterprise applications. The role will occasionally work with OT / Manufacturing Network Engineers to support manufacturing and operational technology-related networking tasks, ensuring alignment between enterprise and manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network switches, routers, wireless systems, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance, document issues, and escalate as needed.
- Support network security measures across the whole environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and asset inventories.
- Work with senior engineers on network projects, upgrades, and facility expansions.
- Support network reliability for mission-critical manufacturing systems and applications.
- Stay informed on evolving networking technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WLAN.
- Familiar with network security principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work primarily on-site.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCT, CCST, CCNP or CompTIA Network+)
- Flexibility to support after-hours work, including scheduled upgrades, unscheduled tasks, and emergency response activities.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
