The Role and Impact

As a Systems and Solutions Engineer, you will drive the design, development, and integration of systems that combine software, firmware, board, and silicon/SoC components to meet specific customer needs. In this role, you will play a key part in defining, implementing, and optimizing solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and quality across the system lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the seamless functionality and user experience of cutting-edge technologies, enhancing Intel's position in delivering innovative systems to global customers.

You will be joining the Silicon and Platform Engineering Group (SPE), an organization committed to advancing Intel's mission of delivering world-class silicon and platform solutions. The group focuses on developing integrated systems that align with customer needs and support Intel's broader goals of leadership in technology innovation. SPE collaborates across diverse domains to ensure Intel platforms meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop software, firmware, and hardware solutions that integrate seamlessly across system components.

- Lead the definition and implementation of system architecture, translating business opportunities into technical requirements and use cases.

- Evaluate technical risk and optimize systems for ease of use, reliability, security, availability, and sustainability.

- Drive technical solutions to address customer challenges, deploying systems and conducting benchmarks to validate performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence next-generation requirements and solutions, guiding research and academic collaborations as needed.

- Conduct lab experiments to simulate real-life environments, analyze prototype performance, and refine system designs.

- Develop technical documentation and provide clear communication to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 6+ years of professional experience; OR Master's degree with 4+ years of professional experience; OR PhD with 2+ years of professional experience.

- Expertise in systems integration across software, firmware, and silicon/SoC components.

- Proficiency in defining system requirements and translating customer needs into technical specifications.

- Solid understanding of hardware-software co-design principles and lifecycle optimization.

- Proven ability to conduct performance analysis and system benchmarking.

- Experience in debugging and root-cause analysis across integrated systems.

- Strong technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced knowledge of Bluetooth protocols, profiles, and wireless communication standards.

- Familiarity with Windows OS, Chrome OS, or other platform ecosystems.

- Hands-on experience with system testing, validation tools, and lab simulations.

- Ability to effectively collaborate across engineering teams and global partners.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to innovate in a hands-on environment.
