Mainframes Developer

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in core mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-grade applications while ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL.
• Design, code, test, and implement solutions in a mainframe environment.
• Work with DB2 databases for data management and optimization.
• Develop and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing.
• Support and troubleshoot CICS online applications.
• Utilize VSAM files for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Perform debugging, testing, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Mainframe Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2 JCL, CICS, and VSAM.
• Good understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing.
• Experience in application maintenance and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with version control and release management processes.
• Knowledge of banking, insurance, or enterprise business applications is a plus.
