Senior Android / Kotlin Multiplatform Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android / Kotlin Multiplatform Engineer to take ownership of an Android application and the shared Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) business logic layer supporting a modern mobile platform.

In this role, you will work across the full mobile stack, collaborating closely with backend and mobile engineering teams to integrate APIs, define contracts, and deliver secure and seamless mobile experiences. You will also contribute to the evolution of a shared ecosystem used across both Android and iOS applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, develop, and maintain the Android application and shared KMP business logic layer
• Design and implement shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules, including network services, API clients, and business logic
• Build modern Android interfaces using Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture, and Hilt
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and OpenAPI specifications
• Integrate mobile applications with backend microservices through REST APIs
• Implement secure authentication flows using MSAL, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect
• Manage Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Cloud Messaging (FCM)
• Write and maintain unit, UI, and integration tests
• Apply Android security best practices, including secure token management
• Support GDPR-compliant consent management integrations
• Develop and maintain secure WebView-based flows, including payments and identity verification
• Support and enhance Android CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Collaborate closely with Android, iOS, backend, QA, and DevOps teams

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), including shared modules, expect/actual, Coroutines, and Flow
• Solid Android development experience using Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture
• Hands-on experience with Hilt dependency injection
• Experience with Ktor HTTP Client and kotlinx.serialization
• Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI-generated API clients
• Familiarity with MSAL, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect
• Experience with Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and FCM
• Good understanding of Android security best practices, including secure token storage with Android Keystore
• Experience with Gradle Kotlin DSL and dependency management using version catalogs
• Strong knowledge of Android Studio, debugging tools, and performance profiling
• Experience with automated testing using MockK, Espresso, and Compose UI testing
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with consent management platforms such as OneTrust
• Familiarity with GraphQL and headless CMS platforms such as Sitecore XM Cloud
• Experience with Android WebView for complex integrations
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release processes in Azure DevOps
• Experience contributing to shared SDKs or cross-platform mobile architectures
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps
