Invorious is hiring a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to design, build, and secure the on-chain logic behind our clients' Web3 products.
About Invorious
Invorious is a software agency built on one simple belief: exceptional products start with understanding people. We partner with clients to design and deliver custom software that fits their unique needs — not the other way around. Our client-centred approach means we listen first, build second, and never stop refining until the results exceed expectations.
We're a small, focused team that moves fast and cares deeply about the work. You won't be a cog in a machine — you'll shape projects, work directly with clients, and see your impact from day one.
About the Role
As a Smart Contract Engineer at Invorious, you'll work across client projects spanning DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and custom blockchain infrastructure. You'll be responsible for writing secure, gas-efficient contracts, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, and helping clients navigate the technical and security trade-offs of on-chain development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts in Solidity
- Write comprehensive tests and perform gas optimization
- Conduct internal security reviews and coordinate with external auditors
- Integrate contracts with frontend and backend services
- Collaborate directly with clients to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Stay current with EVM upgrades, EIPs, and emerging standards
- Contribute to internal best practices, tooling, and reusable contract libraries
Requirements:
- 2+ years of smart contract development experience
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM internals
- Experience with development frameworks (Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle)
- Solid understanding of security best practices and common vulnerabilities (reentrancy, overflow, access control, etc.)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai, Foundry tests)
- Experience deploying to mainnet and testnets
- Strong communication skills — you'll work directly with clients
- Ability to work autonomously in a small, fast-moving team
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Rust, Vyper, or Move
- Knowledge of DeFi protocols, NFTs, or DAO infrastructure
- Contributions to open-source Web3 projects
- Experience with upgradeable contracts (proxy patterns) and multi-sig setups
- Familiarity with The Graph, IPFS, or on-chain indexing solutions
What We Offer:
- Remote-friendly work environment
- Direct client exposure and real ownership of projects
- A small, ambitious team where your work is visible
- Room to grow across Web2 and Web3 projects
- Competitive compensation based on experience
