Contract Engineer – Drilling & Wells / Marine Logistics, Suriname

We are seeking a Senior Contract Engineer to manage the end-to-end contracting and procurement lifecycle for Drilling & Wells Services and Marine Logistics/Offshore Support Vessels. The role will lead tendering, commercial evaluations, negotiations, contract execution and supplier management while ensuring compliance with company policies, HSE requirements and applicable regulations.

• Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies for drilling, wells and marine operations.
• Lead the full tendering process, including preparation of RFQs/tenders, bid evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare, negotiate and finalize contracts and purchase orders in line with company procedures and requirements.
• Drive cost optimization, commercial value creation and effective risk management.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Technical, Finance, HSE, Legal and Management.
• Prepare and present contracting cases to relevant Contracts Committees and approval boards.
• Manage implementation of global and local framework agreements.
• Lead supplier relationship management, including prequalification, performance monitoring, KPIs and lessons learned.
• Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to support commercial decisions.
• Ensure accurate contract and procurement documentation in relevant systems, including SAP, Ariba, Agora and SharePoint.
• Ensure HSE, integrity and regulatory requirements are incorporated into contracts and procurement activities.
• Support emergency and operational requirements related to contracting and supply chain activities.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, JV/PSC requirements and applicable laws and regulations.

• Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• 7-10 years of relevant contracts/procurement experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, commercial negotiations and tender management.
• Proven knowledge of procurement and contracting for Drilling & Wells.
• Experience with rig contracting, drilling services and marine logistics/offshore support vessels is strongly preferred.
• Experience with PSV, AHTS, tugs/barges, marine agency, bunkering and fuel supply contracts is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of procurement and contract management tools, particularly SAP, Ariba, Agora and Sequana.
• Good understanding of Oil & Gas industry standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, organization, coordination and project management skills.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and with limited supervision.
• Strong commercial and results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Previous experience with TotalEnergies and familiarity with its standards and procedures is highly preferred.
• Willingness and ability to work on a 6/3 rotational schedule in Suriname.

Contract: Minimum 2 years

Rotation: 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off
