Database Developer

We are expanding our technology team and opening a new role for a Database Developer, who will work on scalable data pipelines and core analytical infrastructure powering key business processes and decision-making across the organization.

Purpose of the Position

To design, build, and optimize high-performance data processing systems that ensure the reliability, scalability, and acacessibility of enterprise data. The role focuses on modern data engineering practices, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.

• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for ingesting and transforming large datasets from multiple sources.

• Implement data integration solutions to ensure seamless and consistent data flow across platforms.

• Build and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts for structured and unstructured data.

• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and database structures to support reporting and analytics.

• Monitor and optimize the performance of database infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing, data quality, and performance issues.

Your Tasks

• Write efficient, optimized code in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

• Create and maintain automated monitoring systems to ensure data pipeline health and continuity.

• Implement data security and privacy controls in line with regulatory and internal requirements.

• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of data pipelines and analytical solutions.

• Prepare and maintain documentation: technical specifications, deployment processes, and operational guidelines.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Data Developer, Data Engineer, or equivalent role.

• Proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, SQL, and other tools for data processing and analytics.

• Experience working with cloud data services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Strong understanding of database design, data warehousing, and data modeling principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration.

• English - working proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks.

• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts in the context of big data analytics.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
