Associate/Senior Associate, AML/KYC

The successful incumbent will represent the first line of defence and be a key stakeholder in driving the AML/KYC function within the region. The scope of work will be completed in accordance with IQ-EQ’s internal AML/CFT framework, as well as international and domestic AML/CFT regulations and guidelines, across a wide spectrum of service offerings, both internal and external. This role will cover both fund administration and corporate segments.

What you’ll do

• You'll serve as the primary point of contact for investor AML/KYC onboarding, ongoing monitoring reviews, regulatory reporting, and client due diligence activities.
• You'll conduct and review KYC assessments, including source of funds and source of wealth verification, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and risk-based reviews for individuals, trusts, financial institutions, private companies, partnerships, PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media cases.
• You'll oversee and quality-check onboarding and review processes, maintain accurate client records and databases, and support audit, regulatory inspection, compliance remediation, and quality assurance initiatives.
• You'll act as a subject matter expert by providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams and external stakeholders while keeping abreast of AML/KYC regulatory developments and requirements.
• You'll contribute to operational excellence by driving process improvements, participating in transformation initiatives, managing review workflows, and supporting additional risk and compliance responsibilities as required by the Firm.

About you

Qualifications

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in compliance, risk, or financial services.
• You have at least 4 years of relevant AML/KYC experience within a regulated fund, asset management firm, fund administrator, or other financial services environment; candidates with less experience may be considered for an Associate-level role.
• You possess a solid understanding of Cayman, Singapore, and Hong Kong AML regulations, with exposure to other regulated fund jurisdictions considered an advantage.
• You demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, and effective interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
• You communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal, and proficiency in reading, writing, or speaking Chinese would be an advantage due to business needs.

Desired Criteria:

• Professional Certifications in Anti-Money Laundering (such as ICA or ACAMS) is not mandatory but would be an advantage
• Some knowledge on Fund Administration would be helpful
