Business Analyst, Healthcare IT (HIS/EMR)
Job Overview
Under general supervision, the Business Analyst supports the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of HIS, EMR, and digital healthcare solutions. The role works with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders to analyze current workflows, define future-state processes, and ensure solutions align with operational, regulatory, and patient care objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Lead requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and site assessments.
- Analyze current and future-state workflows aligned with HIS/EMR best practices.
- Elicit, validate, prioritize, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop and maintain BRDs, BRSs, use cases, and gap analysis documentation.
Solution Design & Configuration Support
- Collaborate with architects, implementation, and technical teams to translate requirements into system configurations.
- Identify configuration, workflow, integration, and customization needs.
- Review and validate proposed solution designs.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate workshops with clinical, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on scope and deliverables.
Testing & Validation
- Develop and support test cases, test scenarios, and UAT scripts.
- Coordinate UAT activities and validate solutions against approved requirements and workflows.
Implementation & Go-Live Support
- Support data collection, master data validation, workflow validation, and readiness assessments.
- Participate in mock runs, integrated testing, and dress rehearsals.
- Provide business support during go-live and hypercare.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 2-3 years of Business Analysis experience within healthcare IT, HIS, EMR/EHR, or digital health projects.

- Strong understanding of hospital operations and clinical workflows.

- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and EMR/HIS implementation methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced implementation environment.
