Isla is a London health technology company founded in 2019 that collects patient-submitted images and measurements between appointments. Its platform lets clinicians monitor wounds, skin conditions and recovery remotely and decide who genuinely needs to be seen. The company works with National Health Service trusts on outpatient and community care pathways.

Role details: This is a full time role (40 hours per week)

Salary: £29,000 - £35,000pa + Performance-related commission + Equity options

Location: We're a remote first team, based throughout the UK & Ireland. We offer the flexibility to work outside of the UK/Ireland up to 90 days per year, however you must be able to work and live permanently within the UK or Ireland, and able to travel to London at least four times a year for company meet ups and additionally as needed.

The role

We're looking for an ambitious, curious and commercially minded Partnerships Development Associate to join our growing commercial team and help bring Isla's technology to more healthcare organisations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in consultative sales. You'll combine research and proactive business development with the opportunity to connect with NHS clinicians and decision-makers, understand the challenges they're facing and show them how Isla could help.

You'll take ownership of the early stages of our sales process, from finding and reaching out to potential partners to building relationships, running introductory meetings and demonstrating our platform.

This isn't just about generating leads or booking meetings. You will get to know the people you're speaking to, ask great questions and understand what matters to them. You'll learn to spot where Isla could make a real difference and work closely with our senior Partnership Leads to turn those initial conversations into lasting partnerships.

We're looking for someone who enjoys meeting new people, is naturally curious and loves getting to the bottom of a problem. You'll need the confidence to start conversations, the resilience to keep going when things don't work out and, just as importantly, the ability to listen, build trust and make people feel understood.

You don't need to know the NHS or other healthcare systems inside out. We're much more interested in your attitude, initiative and willingness to learn. If you're excited to take on responsibility early, develop your skills and play a part in changing how healthcare is delivered, we'd love to hear from you!

Who we are

Isla Health is a venture-backed health-tech scale-up, supporting our partners across the UK, EU and internationally. We have built a new category of healthcare technology which we refer to as the Digital Pathway Platform (DPP). Founded in 2019, we now support 25% of NHS Trusts and a submission of patient data is made on the platform every 20 seconds

As a company, we're all laser focused on enabling a scalable model of care which empowers healthcare staff and improves patient outcomes. The DPP supports this by setting up digital pathways which are remote-first and asynchronous. As pathways harness sophisticated automation, clinical algorithms and intelligent cohorting, patients always take the optimised route through their pathway, thereby delivering a step change in clinical productivity.

Over the next 12 months you will:

  • Identify and develop new opportunities: Research NHS organisations, clinical services and regional priorities to identify where Isla could deliver meaningful value. Take ownership of targeted outbound activity across email, phone and LinkedIn, finding thoughtful and effective ways to engage prospective partners.
  • Lead early-stage customer conversations: Build relationships with clinicians, operational teams and NHS decision-makers. Run initial discovery meetings, asking insightful questions to understand their challenges, priorities and existing ways of working.
  • Demonstrate the value of our platform: Deliver engaging introductory and clinical demonstrations of Isla, adapting your approach to different audiences and helping prospective partners understand how our technology could improve their services.
  • Qualify prospective partnerships: Go beyond generating interest to understand whether there is a genuine opportunity for Isla. Explore customer needs, relevant stakeholders, potential impact and next steps, ensuring opportunities are well understood before progressing them.
  • Build a high-quality commercial pipeline: Work closely with senior Partnership Leads to progress qualified opportunities, providing the insights and context needed to develop successful partnerships. Take ownership of follow-up and maintain momentum throughout the early stages of the sales process.
  • Develop your understanding of the NHS: Build a strong knowledge of NHS structures, clinical pathways and the challenges facing healthcare organisations, enabling you to have increasingly credible and valuable conversations with prospective customers.
  • Continuously improve our approach: Track your activity and opportunities through our CRM, share insights from customer conversations and use data, feedback and AI tools to make our outreach and qualification processes more effective.

Requirements

  • A consultative mindset: You're naturally curious and enjoy understanding people's challenges. You ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully and focus on finding the right solution rather than simply delivering a sales pitch.
  • Exceptional communication skills: You can write clear, concise and engaging outreach that cuts through the noise of a busy clinician's inbox. You're equally confident building relationships, leading conversations and communicating complex ideas to different audiences.
  • Commercial drive: You're proactive, motivated by results and enjoy the challenge of creating new opportunities. You're comfortable picking up the phone, initiating conversations and following them through.
  • Strong research and analytical skills: You enjoy getting to grips with complex topics, digging into data and identifying opportunities. You can connect the dots between an organisation's challenges and where Isla could add value.
  • Confidence and resilience: You're comfortable stepping outside your comfort zone, aren't discouraged by rejection and are always looking for ways to learn and improve.
  • Ownership and initiative: You take responsibility for your work, manage your time effectively and follow through on commitments. You're proactive in finding solutions rather than waiting for direction.
  • Technical aptitude: You're comfortable learning new technologies, confident using tools like Google Sheets and interested in how AI can make your research, outreach and workflows more effective.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven approach: You're excited about Isla's impact on patient care, enjoy working towards shared goals and take pride in seeing opportunities you've helped create develop into successful partnerships.
  • Experience:
    • Ideally, you'll have at least one year's experience in a fast-paced, commercial or customer-facing environment, such as sales, business development or account management.
    • Experience in B2B sales, SaaS or healthcare would be beneficial.

We appreciate you might not meet all of the requirements for this position. If your experience looks somewhat different to the requirements in the job spec but you think you can bring value to this role, we'd love to hear from you.
