Lead Architect

Job description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Architect with 15+ years of architectural design experience, preferably across luxury residential villas, bungalows, and real estate developments.

This role is focused exclusively on architectural design, planning, coordination, and execution. It does not include interior design responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong architectural background, proven experience leading projects and consultants, and practical exposure to site coordination and real estate development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) – Mandatory
• Master’s degree in Architecture or Urban Planning will be an advantage.
• 12+ years of experience in architectural design and project leadership.
• Experience in luxury villas, bungalows, residential developments, or real estate architecture preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural planning, design development, and execution.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advanced proficiency in SketchUp.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Revit and USGBC standards is an advantage.
• Prior on-site experience preferred.
• Experience managing architectural consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of Indian building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead projects independently and deliver high-quality outcomes within timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design, plotting, and master-planning activities.
• Ensure design quality, timely delivery, and alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate with sales teams, project managers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and conduct weekly design review meetings.
• Review consultant drawings and deliverables at various project stages.
• Provide constructive feedback and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Ensure adherence to Isprava’s planning, design, and implementation standards.
• Prepare feasibility reports, design proposals, presentations, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with MEP engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and other consultants.
• Ensure compliance with Indian building codes, statutory regulations, and approval requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor design quality and construction progress.
• Provide technical guidance and practical design solutions to site and construction teams.
• Oversee snagging, final inspections, and project completion prior to handover.
• Proactively identify and resolve design-related challenges.
• Manage and guide architectural consultants and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

This position is exclusively for candidates with a core architectural profile. Interior design responsibilities are not part of this role.
