Our client is a market-leading company in Malta, specialising in apertures, including high-quality windows, doors and related solutions. With an established reputation for quality, reliability and customer service, the company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead its operations, drive business growth and ensure continued market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the overall management and daily operations of the business, ensuring efficiency, productivity and profitability.
Develop and implement business strategies to support sustainable growth and strengthen the company's market position.
Lead and manage key departments, including sales, operations, production, installation and customer service.
Take responsibility for financial performance, budgeting, cost control and profitability.
Identify new business opportunities, develop commercial relationships and drive revenue growth.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Monitor operational performance and introduce improvements to processes, systems and workflows.
Build, motivate and develop a high-performing management team, promoting accountability and collaboration.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, developers and other key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards and company policies.
Report to company ownership on business performance, operational challenges and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience in a General Manager, Operations Director or similar senior management position in a similar industry
Previous experience within the apertures, construction, manufacturing or building materials industry would be considered a strong advantage.
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in business development, financial management and operational leadership.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing complex operational processes.
Good understanding of project management, production processes, logistics and installation operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.
Ability to develop and execute business strategies while remaining hands-on with daily operations.
Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction and profitability.
Excellent command of English and Maltese languages.
