Mid-Level Java Developer - Securities Settlement Systems

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the securities and post-trade processing industry. You'll contribute to building and maintaining cutting-edge settlement systems that enable reliable, secure, and efficient financial transactions. Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based backend services using Spring Boot to support securities settlement processes
• Work with Kafka to implement event-driven architectures for real-time data processing
• Deploy and manage applications utilizing Kubernetes and Argo CD for orchestration and automation
• Participate actively in CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to ensure reliable and continuous delivery
• Monitor system performance and health through Prometheus, Grafana, and the Elastic Stack
• Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Devin, and Claude to improve code quality and team productivity

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, specifically with Java
• Strong proficiency in Java programming and Spring Boot framework
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and SDLC tools such as GitLab
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with deploying and managing cloud applications, ideally on AWS (nice to have)
• Knowledge of securities settlements and post-trade processing (preferred)
• Familiarity with AI tools like Devin and Claude (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with AWS cloud platform
• Knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade systems
• Hands-on experience with Argo CDF
• Certifications or familiarity with AI-driven development tools
