As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading technology-driven organization dedicated to delivering cutting-edge portal solutions. Your main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java or .NET to ensure reliable portal functionality.
- Design data models and integrate with relational or NoSQL databases to support portal features.
- Collaborate closely with front-end teams to define API contracts and ensure smooth integration.
- Build, deploy, and optimize containerized applications within Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct unit/integration testing, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participating in on-call and support rotations.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical design discussions to foster continuous improvement.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability to meet evolving user needs.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with strong expertise in Java or .NET (Spring Boot / .NET Core preferred).
- Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration tools-Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with messaging or event-driven architectures using Kafka, MQ, etc.
- Domain experience in financial services, fund administration, or transfer agency.
- Exposure to cloud-native development practices.
