Position Summary
Position: Finance Intern (Summer 2027)
Location: Valencia, CASchedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, May to August 2027
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational accounting and finance within a world-renowned, publicly traded aerospace manufacturing company. Under mentorship the intern will gain exposure to both general and manufacturing-specific financial practices, contributing to meaningful projects and learning industry standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the Accounting/Finance team with daily operational activities
- Review and update current standard operating procedures
- Gain an understanding of ITT’s SOX policies and procedures
- Maintain and file documents in accordance with ITT’s retention policy
- Support resolution of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) items
- Participate in inventory audits and cost analysis
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance undergraduate program (BS), in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher) and has completed their Junior year
- Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting regulations
- Solid grasp of accrual accounting principles
- Familiarity with accounting information systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
