ITV

Headquartered in London, United Kingdom, ITV is a public media and television production conglomerate operating as the UK's largest commercial broadcaster. The company functions through two core divisions: Media & Entertainment, which operates its portfolio of free-to-air linear channels and the ITVX streaming platform, and ITV Studios, an international content creator and distributor.

Workplace: White City, London (Hybrid working)

The role

The Account Director is a senior client and project lead within Metavision, responsible for managing our gaming and immersive media projects from initial brief through production, launch and post-launch optimisation. Acting as a trusted partner to clients, brands, agencies and IP owners, they will build strong relationships, understand clients' business and strategic objectives, and ensure Metavision consistently delivers ambitious and effective work.

Working closely with the Managing Director, Studio Director, Creative Director, production and development teams, the Account Director will be the connective tissue between clients and the studio - translating production progress into clear stakeholder communication, keeping projects moving, and balancing creative ambition with timings, scope and commercial realities.

The Account Director will also take a lead role in how our work is amplified beyond the experience itself, helping develop and deliver campaign amplification strategies that drive awareness, engagement and players. This could include working with content creators, influencers, talent agencies, media and other specialist partners, coordinating activity around key campaign moments and ensuring amplification is considered as part of the wider project strategy from the outset.

They will also have the opportunity to play an active role in new business, identifying opportunities within existing relationships and helping shape Metavision's strategic and creative thinking.

Main responsibilities

  • Own senior day-to-day client and stakeholder relationships across a portfolio of Metavision projects, becoming a trusted partner and point of escalation.
  • Lead projects from briefing and scoping through pre-production, production, launch and post-launch, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget.
  • Act as the key link between clients and Metavision's creative, production and development teams, turning studio progress into clear, confident and proactive client communication.
  • Work closely with the Studio Director and project leads to establish timings, milestones, approvals and launch plans, identifying risks early and driving solutions when challenges arise.
  • Champion the quality of the strategic and creative product: contribute a point of view, constructively challenge briefs and work, and confidently present, defend and sell ideas to clients and partners.
  • Alongside the Managing Director and Studio Director, take ownership of project commercials day to day.
  • Lead campaign launch and go-to-market planning for relevant experiences, coordinating marketing assets, cross-promotion, paid activity; working with content creators, talent agencies, media and other specialist partners to build awareness and drive engagement.
  • Oversee post-launch client communication and reviews, using performance, audience and monetisation data to identify learnings and opportunities for optimisation and future activity.
  • Support the Managing Director and wider team on new business pitches and proposals, helping shape responses, build client relationships and convert opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships through proactive thinking, additional projects, live-ops activity and partnerships.
  • Build strong relationships across ITV Studios, Zoo 55 / Global Partnerships and external agency, platform and production partners, bringing the right people together to deliver the best outcome.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Significant account management / client leadership experience at Account Director level or equivalent, ideally within an immersive media, gaming, digital or creative, integrated agency/studio environment.
  • A strong track record of independently leading complex client projects or campaigns from brief through to delivery, including managing multiple stakeholders, budgets and timelines.
  • Experience building and maintaining senior client relationships, managing expectations and acting as an escalation point when required.
  • Experience working closely with creative, strategy, production and/or technical teams to develop and deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong commercial experience, including project scoping, budget management, forecasting and managing additional scope or change requests.
  • Experience contributing to new business pitches, proposals and organic client growth.
  • Experience within gaming, Roblox, Fortnite, Minecraft, immersive entertainment or youth-focused digital experiences is highly desirable, but a strong interest in and understanding of the space is essential.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • A confident communicator and presenter who can simplify complexity, influence senior stakeholders and navigate difficult conversations constructively.
  • Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of how scope, resource, timings and client decisions affect project profitability.
  • Strategic and creatively ambitious, with a strong point of view and the confidence to challenge thinking in pursuit of better work.
  • A natural problem solver who anticipates issues, stays calm under pressure and focuses on solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to move comfortably between the big picture and the detail while managing multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborative and unprecious, with the ability to work effectively across creative, strategy, production, development and commercial teams.
  • Curious about gaming, digital culture, entertainment and emerging platforms, with a desire to keep learning as the space evolves.
  • Ideally would have experience across immersive media platforms, namely Roblox and Fortnite.
