Expert Finance Process Especialist
Job Summary
Responsible yo support process and project improvements within the Finance areas at the site level.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities in the plant(s). Is empowered & takes accountability for development & delivery of business improvement solutions.
The role will support education, process re-engineering and system application enhancement.
Collaborate with financial systems team & demonstrate up-to-date expertise in financial systems. Apply this to the development of technical specifications, execution, and improvement of action plans.
Education & Experience
Typically requires +10 years of experience.
Typically College or university degree required
Responsibilities
Serve as recognized expert in financial planning and analysis, providing guidance on complex analytical matters. Lead development of innovative analytical methodologies and frameworks advancing organizational capabilities. Conduct strategic financial analyses directly informing executive decision-making on major initiatives. Drive continuous improvement of financial planning processes, systems, and reporting frameworks. Provide thought leadership on industry trends and emerging approaches in financial analysis. Collaborate with senior leadership to translate business strategy into actionable financial plans. Mentor and develop analytical talent through knowledge sharing and coaching. Represent the function in cross-functional initiatives and enterprise-wide projects.
Skills/ Ability Generic (High Level)
Serve as functional expert for complex issues relating to financial related systems and tools.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in financial systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of best practices
Support users in questions of complex scope that requires analysis or research of an in-depth nature to solve.
Coordinate and facilitate training for the plant in terms of new hires, new functionality, and upgrades by standarized finance functions, process and procedures
Evaluate business systems and troubleshoot areas of concern.
Actively creates best practices for internal or external business issues to improve products and services
Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
Provide project level analysis and collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
