Shift : Thursday- Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6pm-6am
The Manufacturing Engineer I plays a vital role in supporting and improving manufacturing processes at Jabil Inc. This entry-level position focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and contributing to the overall success of manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Support the design, procurement, and qualification of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design, to resolve manufacturing issues and improve product manufacturability.
Participate in the evaluation and selection of new manufacturing technologies and materials.
Develop and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for production defects and non-conformances.
Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship or co-op experience considered).
Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts is a plus.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
