Shift: Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday 6pm-6am
The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing methods, improving yields, and supporting new product introductions.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability.
Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and automation.
Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
