JOB SUMMARY
Support the optimization and improvement of production processes, ensuring compliance with quality and efficiency standards. Identify and resolve technical issues, implement continuous improvements, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and test new processes, and document procedures and results. Work in close coordination with the Process Engineer to facilitate the introduction of new products and ensure that manufacturing operations run smoothly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze daily process yield reports that will include, but not limited to the following: operator errors, defective product, test equipment/test defects, RMA product defects, and spear corrective actions.
- Increase production yields by understanding and reducing operator errors and driving manufacturing engineering defects back to the appropriate department.
- Assist Process Engineer in the execution of scrap reduction initiatives, root cause analysis and other tasks.
- Analyze downtime sheets recording downtime of a station to set guidelines for preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Support the Process Engineer in the root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all process procedures are maintained properly.
- Conduct NPI test evaluations.
- Ensure product testing completeness and reliability.
- Update and generate documentation as required.
- Assist Project Process Engineer with process review when required.
- Set-up equipment to perform any required programming and verification test following established procedures for the specified operations to be performed.
Ensure quality (work meets or exceeds Jabil Workmanship Standards) and improve efficiency through the use of the SPC system when available.
- Ensure daily logs and move/production tickets are accurately maintained.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and understanding of all process engineering department’s procedures pertaining to the individual’s job.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Highschool degree.
- Technical School Certification, or equivalent and 2 to 5 years experience,
- or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
