Jabil is seeking a Quality Engineer to work in our plant in Auburn Hills, MI.

How Will You Make an Impact?

As a Quality Engineer with Jabil, you will support assembly manufacturing by developing and maintaining quality documentation, driving corrective actions, and serving as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions in healthcare, analytical instrumentation, and automotive industries, helping ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.

What Will You Do?

• Serve as a liaison between Jabil and suppliers/customers on quality issues.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance plans and process routings.
• Participate in or lead the authorship and execution of Process Qualification activities.
• Support quoting activities including process design, development, and implementation.
• Evaluate and support inspection processes through aids and instructions.
• Develop and implement specialized training for applicable functional groups.
• Conduct periodic reviews and maintain documentation files.
• Develop systems for document storage and access.
• Review discrepancies and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide trend analysis of defects internally and externally.
• Participate in vendor survey activities as applicable.
• Support supplier process improvement efforts.
• Provide technical and logistical guidance to the quality engineering team.
• Drive corrective action efforts using SPC data and tracking tools.
• Work safely and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How Will You Get Here?

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write reports and present information effectively.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to analyze data and drive corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
