**On-site at our Prince George, VA facility.**
This role is to support a new factory in Prince George, VA (on-site), a start-up manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.
This role serves as a key business partner to site leadership. This role delivers in-depth financial analysis, cost insight, and operational performance reporting to drive better decision-making. Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, PPV analysis, cost analysis, SOX compliance, and routine financial health reviews. This position also contributes to the enhancement and maintenance of Jabil’s financial systems and tools, ensuring accuracy, strong internal controls, and alignment with corporate standards. The analyst interacts routinely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Corporate Finance, to improve transparency, support strategic initiatives, and enhance overall operating results.
What Will You Do?
As a Staff Accountant at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Process payroll-related transactions.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
What are the Education & Experience Requirements?'
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0-2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
