Technical Program Manager – Data Center Infrastructure

JOB SUMMARY

Jabil is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) focused on Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering and Manufacturing. This position will directly contribute to the transformative growth within the Intelligent Infrastructure Division.

The TPM role is responsible for coordinating deliverables and reporting on large complex Data Center Infrastructure Programs, including contingency planning and issue resolution. The TPM contributes to and demonstrates a solid understanding of program vision and roadmap, while maintaining awareness of cross-product/program synergies and actively communicates opportunities to simplify or better align work across teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• In depth knowledge of datacenter power distribution, cooling and related systems and sub-systems
• Provides regular updates to senior leadership, external partners, and internal teams on the status of infrastructure programs, including risks, blockers, and dependencies
• Support scale through shared learnings and mechanisms
• Acting as technical advisor, working closely with engineering teams to understand challenges, propose solutions, and ensure technical feasibility
• Act as the voice of the client within the organization, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
• Coordinate multiple projects and reconcile interdependencies among them;
• Drive decisions with appropriate stakeholders, eliminating roadblocks to resolve customer issues
• Define KPI's and establish SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses
• Adept at managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating schedules
• Oversee activities associated with the NPI projects to ensure the program achieves its goals on time
• Collaborate with factory-based PMs to provide support from RFP through NPI completion of FWT
• Manage RFP timelines, milestones, meetings, document repository, RFIs / ECNs and team up in packaging all RFP deliverables
• Aid and provide strategic guidance to the company’s project managers
• Work in partnership with the site-based PMs to develop and implement program strategy
• Works with your manager to propose potential R&D project ideas to enhance competency areas
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
• Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Creative, self-motivated, accountable, and team-oriented
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Effective at presenting information and responding to management, clients, and public queries
• Capable of influencing others and sharing best practices
• Comfortable working as part of a global team
• Capable of assessing projects, articulating risks, and developing project milestones
• Familiar with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management (PLCM)
• Able to mentor junior project managers

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field. PMP a plus
• 5+ years of datacenter and/or industrial technical program management of design/engineering/manufacturing/test experience
• Alternatively, a suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, integration strategy, and system coordination
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Data Center Infrastructureis preferred
• Analytic and decisive decision maker
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
