Jabil Design Services is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern to assist with the setup and screening of customer server configurations. The intern will gain a real-world understanding of industry use cases, while helping to drive efficiency and effectiveness into the JDS validation process. By the end of internship, he or she will gain hands-on experience with server hardware, firmware and operating systems, as well as infrastructure (switch/storage) management.
Intern Duties & Responsibilities
· Server hardware installation
· Firmware and software configuration
· Networking / Infrastructure maintenance
· Test case execution
· Defect reporting, tracking and validation
· Status reporting
Required Qualifications:
Major(s): IT, Computer Engineering / CET, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior, Or Recent Graduates
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of hardware components
Familiarity with UEFI and BMC
Linux and Windows familiarity
Basic networking skills
Scripting - Python, Bash, etc.
Effective Communication
Self-starter - Ability to drive work
Leadership Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision Making Skills, & Resilience
