Senior Full Stack Software Engineer: Developer Relations

We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to join our Developer Relations team to help lead the development, architecture, and ongoing evolution of our Developer Relations Portal, jackhenry.dev. Jackhenry.dev currently serves thousands of developers and is one of the most important touchpoints between Jack Henry and the fintech partners, vendors, and developers that build integrations with Jack Henry products. You will have real influence on the strategy, tools, and culture we are building together.

The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack development expertise with a passion for developer experience, modern web architecture, API ecosystems, and technical enablement. Our Developer Relations team is small and fast-moving, and we're looking for someone who's excited about this kind of developer portal ownership.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Serve as the Senior Engineer for jackhenry.dev, responsible for the platform's architecture, performance, reliability, and long-term strategic direction.
• Design and evolve a scalable developer portal that delivers a best-in-class experience for external developers consuming Jack Henry APIs and platforms.
• Lead the implementation of new portal capabilities, developer tools, workflows, and integrations that improve developer adoption and engagement.
• Drive continuous improvements to developer onboarding, API discoverability, self-service functionality, documentation experiences, and technical resources.
• Monitor platform health and usage metrics, leveraging developer feedback and analytics to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Ensure the platform meets enterprise requirements for security, authentication, authorization, compliance, and data protection.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering
• A minimum of 3 years in full-stack software development
• Must be proficient with JavaScript/Typescript

• Hands-on use of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day workflows

What would be nice for you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and structure complex technical content (information architecture/content modeling)
• Experience building or supporting developer-facing products, developer experience platforms, developer portals, API platforms, technical documentation systems, or developer education platforms.
• Experience improving developer documentation for usability, clarity, and navigation
• Experience developing technical documentation for engineers or developers.
