Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Management

  • Manage site access, traffic management, transportation routes, material deliveries, storage, laydown areas, and heavy equipment movements.
  • Coordinate logistics requirements with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management consultants.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of site resources and minimize logistical constraints that may impact construction progress.
  • Identify potential logistical risks and implement mitigation measures to maintain uninterrupted site operations.
  • Monitor logistics performance and ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable regulations, and safety standards.

2. Security Management

  • Develop and implement project-wide security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard personnel, assets, equipment, and project facilities.
  • Oversee site security operations, including access control, perimeter security, surveillance, visitor management, and security personnel.
  • Coordinate with security contractors, local authorities, emergency response teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and implement appropriate preventive and contingency measures.
  • Investigate security incidents and ensure timely reporting, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure security arrangements are aligned with project requirements and applicable local regulations.

3. Interface Management

  • Lead and coordinate interfaces between construction contractors, engineering consultants, project management teams, utility providers, government entities, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify, monitor, and resolve physical, operational, logistical, and organizational interface issues across project packages.
  • Establish effective interface coordination procedures, communication protocols, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Facilitate interface meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues affecting construction activities and project delivery.
  • Maintain interface registers, action trackers, risk logs, and coordination plans.
  • Proactively identify potential conflicts between contractors, construction activities, and project infrastructure to avoid delays and disruptions.

4. Leadership & Reporting

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to logistics, security, and interface teams.
  • Monitor departmental performance against project schedules, milestones, and operational objectives.
  • Prepare management reports, performance dashboards, risk assessments, and progress updates.
  • Work closely with the Project Director, Construction Director, and other senior project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, security management, and interface coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, Security Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience, with substantial exposure to large-scale construction, engineering, infrastructure, or mega development projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in site-based logistics management, security operations, and construction interface coordination.
  • Proven experience managing complex construction sites involving multiple contractors, work packages, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction logistics, traffic management, site access control, security protocols, and interface management processes.
  • Experience working within a PMC, EPC, main contractor, or major project delivery environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with senior project management and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong reporting, planning, risk management, and organizational capabilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on major GCC construction, infrastructure, or giga-project developments.
  • Exposure to complex, multi-package construction environments with significant logistical and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with local authority requirements, security regulations, and construction site operational standards in the GCC.
  • Professional certifications in logistics, security management, project management, or interface management would be an advantage.
