Sales Associate - Apparel & Home (Full Time) - Montecito

Role and Responsibilities:

• Maximize sales across apparel, accessories, and home, while providing friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable customer service
• Engage with customers to understand their individual wardrobe, styling, and home needs and provide thoughtful product recommendations
• Develop strong product knowledge across our apparel and home collections to confidently educate customers on products, materials, fit, styling, and functionality
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and keep an updated client book to support ongoing outreach and sales
• Drive sales through clienteling, consignments, and partnerships with Interior Designers and wardrobe stylists
• Assist customers with styling apparel and curating home products that reflect the Jenni Kayne lifestyle and aesthetic
• Handle all point-of-sale transactions, including sales, exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrap
• Take an active role in all store operations, including maintaining displays, assisting with stock transfers, replenishing merchandise, and receiving new products
• Participate in store events and other initiatives designed to drive customer engagement and sales
• Encourage customers to sign up for Jenni Kayne Rewards and engage with us on our social media platforms
• Communicate effectively by sharing customer and business feedback with management and contributing to daily business recaps
• Secure company assets through loss prevention practices in compliance with company policies and guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in retail sales; apparel, fashion, home, furniture, or lifestyle retail experience preferred
• Experience or a strong interest in apparel styling and home interiors
• Passion for delivering an elevated and personalized customer experience
• Can-do attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Willingness and availability to work during peak business periods, including weekends and holidays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with POS and inventory management systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing 20 pounds or more from time to time, as required

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $24 per hour. The hourly rate of pay is determined based on experience, education, skills, and location.
