Accounts Payable - Job Description

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Process and capture supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Manage creditors' accounts and maintain financial records.
• Reconcile supplier statements against the accounting system.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
• Prepare creditor payment schedules and assist with processing.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and controls.

• Grade 12 (Matric) is compulsory.
• A degree in accounting or a related field will be advantageous.
• 4-5 years of proven experience in accounts payable, creditors or bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and creditors' reconciliations.
• Computer literacy and experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Must be available to start immediately.
• Must be willing to work full-time from the Parktown office.
• Must be able to manage a high volume of invoices and creditor accounts efficiently.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, accuracy and confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a clear credit record, subject to the relevant consent and applicable legal requirements.
