Business Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented and inquisitive Business Analyst to support product development across various business domains. Working closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into clear, actionable solutions that drive customer and business value.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing complex business processes, gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and supporting the delivery of innovative digital products.

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through workshops, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to define and refine requirements.
• Analyse current-state business processes and contribute to future-state improvements.
• Define and maintain business rules and system configurations.
• Facilitate collaboration between technical and business stakeholders.
• Support Agile delivery processes, including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate requirements and functionality.
• Maintain accurate and structured documentation within knowledge management platforms.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiency.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2-6 years' experience in Business Analysis, Product Support, Functional Consulting, or Systems Analysis roles.
• Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Lending, or Technology environments.
• Proven experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Exposure to product development, process improvement, and solution design initiatives.
• Experience supporting testing, validation, and user acceptance processes.
• Experience engaging with business and technical stakeholders across multiple levels.
• Exposure to African financial services markets would be advantageous.

• Strong business process analysis and requirements elicitation skills.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and validation.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, user story creation, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Sheets, or similar collaboration tools.
• Ability to create process flows, functional specifications, wireframes, and solution documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Highly organised with strong documentation and knowledge management capabilities.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
