Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
- Work on 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling.
- Set and operate CNC turning machines and lathes.
- Create and optimise CNC programs using Autodesk Fusion 360 / CAM.
- Interpret technical drawings and machining specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, feeds and speeds.
- Machine components to tight tolerances.
- Perform in-process dimensional and quality checks.
- Make tooling and programme adjustments where required.
- Identify and resolve machining or programming issues.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and productivity.
- Ensure machines, tools and work areas are maintained correctly.
- Follow workshop safety and quality procedures.
- Red Seal Trade Test - essential.
- Fanuc Control experience essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ current CNC machining experience.
- Strong 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling experience.
- CNC turning and lathe experience.
- Proven ability to program, set and operate CNC machinery.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 / CAM.
- Strong understanding of precision machining.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good measuring and inspection skills.
- Own reliable transport.
- 5-axis CNC machining.
