CNC Setter & Operator (Night Shift) Boksburg

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up CNC machines for production according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision components.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely.
• Perform machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain production efficiency.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Measure and inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Identify machining defects and make necessary adjustments to prevent non-conforming products.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues or breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the work area.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Work closely with supervisors and quality personnel to achieve production targets.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• CNC Setter and Operator experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and machine setup.
• Good understanding of quality control processes.
• Computer literacy is advantageous.
• Willingness to work permanent night shift and overtime when required.
