Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and protect the integrity of the inventory and production systems.
- Control and validate all inventory movements.
- Perform product costing, cost calculations and standard-cost reviews.
- Reconcile production batches, recipes, yields and stock usage.
- Analyse production margins, losses, wastage and yield variances.
- Investigate and resolve inventory and costing discrepancies.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise monthly stock takes.
- Reconcile physical stock against system records.
- Develop and improve inventory-control procedures.
- Assist with costing and inventory controls for new products and product ranges.
- Ensure production information is captured accurately on the operating system.
- Work closely with Production, Operations and Finance to ensure reliable costing and stock information.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in cost accounting, inventory control or manufacturing accounting.
- Good knowledge of product costing, standard costing, stock reconciliations, gross margins, production yields and wastage.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Comfortable working with ERP, inventory or production systems.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Able to work confidently with finance, production and operational teams.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production would be highly advantageous.
