Grow the business sustainably

• Develop and implement a personal action plan that contributes to the sustainable, profitable growth of the assigned territory and business units, in line with agreed top and bottom line budgets.
• Manage structure costs within the agreed annual budget.
• Own a defined Gauteng based territory with a broader South African focus, working across the relevant business units.

• Understand customer needs through ongoing analysis of demand, market trends and competitor activity.
• Strengthen and grow trust with the existing customer base while actively winning new customers.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships at every level and apply key account management principles where appropriate.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners across customer service, quoting, technical and fulfilment teams, as well as key stakeholders in the relevant business units.
• Support fellow stakeholders in reaching their own targets, for example working with the commercial team to reduce outstanding payments.

• Follow the organisation's structured sales cycle from first contact through to close.
• Use the company's CRM and complaints management systems as the primary tools for day to day sales work.
• Gather and share key market and product information across the sub region.

• Matric / Grade 12, plus a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Agricultural Science, Milling Technology, or a related technical/commercial field.
• A strong background in mining, manufacturing or other related industries is essential.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the sales cycle.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and potential.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, complaint management tools and MS Office.
• Business level English is essential; an additional local language is an advantage.

• Excellent listening and communication skills at all levels, internally and externally.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and a proactive, self-starting approach that needs minimal instruction.
• Integrity, attention to detail and loyalty.

• The ability to perform well under pressure with a can do, will do attitude.
• An agile, open mindset.
