Electrical Engineer

• Design and review electrical systems for grid-tied and hybrid solar PV and battery storage (BESS) installations
• Compile and review single line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and technical specifications for LV/MV electrical infrastructure
• Ensure designs comply with SANS, NRS097, SA Grid Code, and relevant municipal SSEG regulations
• Support tendering processes - technical specifications, BOQs, and contractor evaluation
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for proposed installations
• Liaise with EPC contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies throughout project execution
• Support commissioning and testing of completed installations
• Assist with technical due diligence on new project opportunities

What We're Looking For

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering
• 2-3 years' experience in electrical design, ideally within solar PV, renewable energy, or industrial electrical environments
• Working knowledge of SANS 10142, NRS097, and SSEG regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or relevant design software (PVsyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or similar advantageous)
• Strong understanding of LV and MV electrical systems and distribution
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise directly with clients and contractors
• Valid driver's licence
