Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full accounting function up to trial balance
  • Perform cashbook, bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations
  • Process supplier invoices, customer invoicing and payment runs
  • Prepare month-end journals, accruals and management reports
  • Reconcile balance sheet and intercompany accounts
  • Manage foreign currency transactions and exchange differences
  • Prepare and submit VAT201 returns and assist with SARS administration
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and assist with statutory and CIPC requirements
  • Assist with inventory, landed costs, year-end packs and audit preparation
Requirements:
  • Proven hands-on accounting experience up to trial balance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS for SMEs
  • Experience with VAT and VAT201 submissions
  • Knowledge of foreign currency accounting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly accurate, organised and methodical
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Valid driver's licence and own transport
Advantageous:
  • BCom, SAIPA/CIMA articles or relevant professional qualification
  • Multi-entity and multi-currency experience
  • Experience in export, import, agriculture or inventory environments
  • Experience with Acumatica, Zoho Books or similar ERP systems
  • Afrikaans and English proficiency
Position Details:
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Office-based in Durbanville, Cape Town
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
  • Market-related CTC, including medical aid and provident fund contributions
