General Manager

Core Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager within a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment
• Proven track record managing multi-department operations (F&B, housekeeping, guiding, spa, maintenance)
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and revenue management
• Solid understanding of maintenance requirements in a remote lodge setting
• Excellent staff leadership, training and performance management skills
• High standards of guest relations and the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
• Comfortable living and working in a remote, bush environment
• Strong administrative and reporting ability

• Oversee the full day-to-day operation of the lodge across all departments
• Manage and mentor heads of department, holding the team to five-star standards
• Drive guest satisfaction, handling feedback and resolving concerns directly
• Manage budgets, control costs and report on financial performance
• Coordinate maintenance needs and liaise with ownership on capital requirements
• Oversee stock control and procurement across the operation
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
• Liaise with management and ownership on strategic and operational matters
• Support marketing and revenue initiatives where required
