JUNIOR AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN

• Previous experience in IT support, networking, cabling, audio visual installations or a related technical environment is an advantageous but not a must.
• Basic technical foundation and a willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills and an interest in audio visual technology.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English due to operational requirements
• A friendly, helpful and professional attitude.
• Reliable, responsible and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to take initiative.
• Must be comfortable walking extensively throughout the working day.
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in standby arrangements when required.

Duties will include:

• Testing conference rooms and meeting venues daily to ensure all audio-visual equipment is functioning correctly.
• Ensuring meeting rooms are operational and ready for scheduled meetings and presentations.
• Checking meeting schedules and identifying upcoming technical requirements.
• Troubleshooting audio visual, connectivity and basic technical issues.
• Resolving technical problems promptly or escalating them where necessary.
• Conducting routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Monitoring the functionality of conference room technology throughout the day.
• Preparing daily and weekly reports on room functionality and technical issues.
• Providing professional and customer-focused assistance to users experiencing technical difficulties.
• Assisting with additional technical tasks as required.
