Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate sea and air imports from India and other international suppliers through to warehouse delivery
Obtain and negotiate freight rates, monitor shipment progress and manage clearing agents
Oversee export shipments to African markets, including cross-trade orders, customs documentation and compliance requirements
Review freight and clearing invoices and ensure duties, VAT and landed costs are accurately recorded
Support procurement with purchase orders, incoming stock schedules and supplier follow-ups
Maintain accurate shipment records, update ERP / inventory systems and compile monthly freight cost and delivery performance reports
Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs and improve shipping efficiency
Requirements:
Matri
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding or Purchasing
3-5 years' experience in import / export logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain control
Practical knowledge of sea and air freight, customs procedures, export documentation, Incoterms, duties and VAT
Exposure to cross-border trade into Africa and cross-trade / drop-shipment arrangements
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or inventory systems; Zoho experience advantageous
Excellent negotiation, organisational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Freight forwarding or customs certification advantageous
Experience in manufacturing or distribution, particularly PPE or industrial products, preferred
Valid driver's licence
